Summarize

Use a Theme Map to tell the theme of the story.  Then use the information on the map to help you summarize the story.

 

Think and Compare

1.  Look back at pages 16-17.  How did Stella earn her sprite wings?

 

2.  Briefly describe your favorite place.  How is it like Stella's favorite place?  How is it different?

 

3.  How can people help keep nature safe?  Explain.

 

Write an Adventure

Use the characters in the story to write a new adventure.  Write about Stella as a grownup.  Pretend that someone is trying to build on the land that Stella hopes to protect.  Illustrate your adventure.
